I could literally spend a full month in the V&A museum!
A place filled with such beauty, unique treasures, historical artefacts, handmade artwork, and alluring relics.
Marble, glass, paint, gold, silver, wood, iron and many more chosen materials from each creator, which then bring to life the magic of their work.
Research is essential within my work. Jewellery design takes many different formats, and so I often take a day to explore a new place to ignite my art.
Obviously I may be a little biased - but the collections showcased within the jewellery section at the museum are incredible! Dated back to 1500BC right up to the present day, the pieces on display showed the journey of jewellery and it’s progression.
I feel extremely fortunate to have visited and viewed such beautiful treasures on my recent research trip to Kensington.
My respect, admiration and appreciation goes to each of the V&A staff for their continued work at the museum.
I can’t wait to return for my next visit asap!
